Our home, Stokers Siding

The Studio Of Mae
This is where Mae lives. Our shopfront is filled with beautiful things that make us happy and of course, our fabric wall decals and wrapping paper. We are open 10am-4pm, Mon-Sat. Ph 02 6677 9225.

Vintage Soul
I could spend forever trawling through Prya's collection of vintage and antiques and never get bored. Vintage Soul is how you would imagine your grandmother's attic if she hadn't hocked all her stuff and moved into a modern apartment on the canal (or was that just mine?). For opening hours, phone ahead - 02 6677 9208.

Stokers Siding Pottery
Stokers Pottery is where award winning potter Bob Connery creates and sells his works. You can also find interesting art and homewares by local artists. Open 7 days. Ph 02 6677 9208.

Other things to do around Stokers Siding

Stokers Siding is a tiny little village in Northern NSW, located between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast, just 8km south of Murwillumbah. Make a day trip out of it and have lunch at one of the many great little cafés in Murwillumbah (I love New Leaf and Sugar Beat) or Uki. The drive to Uki is lovely, and only 15 minutes from Stokers. If it's scenery you're after, Mt Warning and the drive there is where you'll find it. You don't have to climb Mt Warning to enjoy the atmosphere, though I've heard the view from the top is breathtaking.

The Tweed River Art Gallery is worth a visit to see some interesting local and international works, enjoy lunch and panoramic views of the Tweed Valley. Open Wed-Sun.

The Studio of Mae, Vintage Soul and Stokers Siding Pottery are located at 224 Stokers Rd. My map. Google's map.

  4. In Love with The Studio of Mae.

You girls have done a brilliant job. Wish I could come visit the grand opening but someone must sell school children their shoes. I'll be there in spirit.

A summer road trip is a must.

  6. I would be like a child in toy land if I could just spend the day roaming round in these play lands. I love going to vintage shops, flea markets, thrift stores and resale shops.

  8. I saw this pic posted on another blog, and I love, love the collection of boxes hanging on the wall to hold little treasures. I've been in the mood to reorganize every square inch of my house this new year, and this is exactly what I'd love to use to organize some of my own treasures. Would you mind telling me what kind of boxes you used for the collage and how deep they are? thanks!

  9. Hi Ashley! I love the boxes look so much. We got the brown boxes from vintage furniture stores but they are expensive and hard to find. The painted boxes are just drawers! Someone was giving away a chest of drawers so we painted the drawers and screwed them on the wall. Ours are about 15 cm deep.

Hope this creates a bit of inspiration. :)

  12. The environment of this place is so inviting. I'll just let myself in. LOL! The house is intended to look old, right? My favorite among the pieces are the owl, the red cats, and the jewelry that were put in a wooden box.
